Lobos Island Pass
The island of Lobos is a Protected Natural Area that has formed part of the Fuerteventura Biosphere Reserve since 2009.
Its special biological and landscape characteristics, together with the ethnographic elements and the Roman archaeological site, give it a high environmental value worthy of conservation.
Due to the fragility of the resources, and in order to conserve this space and make it compatible with public use, the 2006 Master Plan for Use and Management establishes a load capacity of 200 simultaneous visitors. This capacity requires authorisation to access the islet, which will be free of charge and totally independent of the means of transport used to reach this Natural Park.
We appreciate the cooperation of citizens and visitors for the conservation and preservation of this islet for future generations.
Here are the requirements and authorisation you must request prior to your visit, and some recommendations.
- Make the application 5 days before the scheduled date of the visit.
- It is free, personal and non-transferable.
- It does not include transport to the island.
It may be requested at any time during your stay on the island. If you do not have this authorisation, you will not be able to stay in the Islote de Lobos Natural Park, due to non-compliance with the regulations of this natural area. It is only issued for the purpose of controlling the carrying capacity, and does not exempt you from any other permit or authorisation that may be necessary.
Users are also reminded that, at all times, they must respect the general prevention and hygiene measures of COVID-19, including the use of masks, whenever it is not possible to maintain the interpersonal safety distance of at least two metres, and hand hygiene.
